Forestry First Aid

Anyone who already holds a first aid certificate (Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work) and is looking to expand their skills and knowledge to act in an emergency in forestry and agricultural settings.
Course content is graphic and real life videos are shown.

This course is 2 hours in one session exclusive of breaks and can be a bolt on to either the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or First Aid at Work (FAW) courses.
There is no blended option for this course.

Remote medical assistance
Life threatening bleeding control
Crush injuries
Extreme heat and cold
Lyme disease

The instructor is continually assessing through oral questioning and practical activities. Full attendance is required. There is no written assessment. There is no grading of the assessment, a certificate will only be issued if the criteria has been successfully met.

The qualification is available to those aged 14 or over however a nominated first aider in the workplace must be 16 or over.
Participants must be fluent in English.
Full attendance of the course is a requirement to pass.

Certificates are electronic and will be sent once payment for the course is received if booking a whole course. Individual participants will have their certificates within 48 hours.
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement and to re-qualify, the full course must be completed again.
