This course is for anyone who interacts with children or vulnerable adults and will provide a basic knowledge and understanding of what safeguarding is, why it is important and how to act if you suspect abuse or neglect.

The qualification is a minimum of 4 learning hours exclusive of breaks.
Can be delivered over a maximum of 2 weeks with each session being 2 hours.
Course timings can be discussed to suit your needs.
There is no blended option for this course.

The qualification is assessed by the instructor through oral questioning throughout the course and full attendance is required. There is also a written assessment. There is no grading of the assessment, a certificate will only be issued if the criteria has been successfully met.

Participants must be a minimum of 14 years old to do this course and fluent in spoken and written English.
Full attendance of the course is a requirement to pass.

Successful participants will be awarded with an Ofqual regulated qualification.
There is no expiry date on the certification but it is recommended that annual refresher training be taken.
